Summary of Position

A desire to support the mission of The Catholic Foundation is required. This position will be responsible for daily Foundation accounting and would be under the direct supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and ideally succeed the CFO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administrator of Financial Edge accounting software
  • Maintain general ledger
  • Create monthly journal entries
  • Create and maintain financial reports
    • Quarterly statement of activity
    • Quarterly statement of financial position
  • Reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile merchant service accounts with CRM database
  • Supervise AR/AP accountant
  • Approve AP invoices and grant payments
  • Prepare loan covenant compliance work papers
  • Assist with the annual audit and form 990 preparation

Qualifications -Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of three years of accounting experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities outlined above
  • Experience with Blackbaud software (RE, FE, GE) highly desired
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and attention to detail must be demonstrated
  • Willingness and aptitude for problem solving
  • Critical thinking with the ability to analyze data and enhance the Foundation’s workflow
  • Experience with non-profit accounting is a plus
